Instead of meat sirmes and Russian salad from January 1st on wards, we can think of how to keep the rest of the food from the festive table.
In a well-closed container, the meat sirmes (cooled to room temperature) can be stored in a refrigerator for up to seven days or in a freezer for 3 to 4 months. They, and in general, all kinds of meat-cabbage dishes can last for long at low temperatures if they are packed in the right way.7
It should be noted that when warming, cabbage loses its nutritional value.
Before, freezing, it is recommended to cool. Divide the dish into parts instead of freezing it in a large bowl.
Defrosting takes place gradually, in a normal refrigerator, then in an oven or microwave.
Remember that food (the meat sirmes/ which, once thawed, should not be re-placed in the freezer.
